On our way back we followed Route 66 into Galena, Kansas and stopped at an old KanOtex service station that has now been restored by its new owners. This is the truck that gave Pixar the idea for Mater in the movie "Cars." When they were getting ready to make the movie they found "Mater" parked out in a field by the old gas station.
