This is the car moments after we hauled
it out into the sunlight from the inside
of a shed it had been mouldering in.

At home in our garage, disassembly started
in tight quarters! (In the foreground is our
'55 Nomad.)
|
Continuing in the disassembly - doors off, engine
out, and still lots to do!
|
|
|
This was the point at which you really had to see
the potential of the car. See the high-tech chassis?
(of course you can't!) These cars are pretty simply
made - kingpins and all! (No ball joints in these
babies!)
|
After the car had been stripped, it was sprayed with
a high-build primer.
|
|
|
And finally, the rebuilding stage - engine back in,
doors back on, windshield, etc. And now she moves
under her own power.
|
Repainted, and ready for the trim! (This is my lovely
wife, Kathy, putting the grille teeth back on the car
- her hands were the perfect size for that type of work!)

Kathy again, and our youngest daughter Chelsea in the
finished product. This picture was taken just north of
Ocala, FL. In the three years previous to this, we'd
put over 20 000 miles on the car.
