I retired in 2008, but remain interested in refugee law, human rights law and a number of issues which I keep writing about. See Articles click Green

From 1983 to mid 2001, I was the national Coordinator of the Inter-Church Committee for Refugees, linked to the Canadian Council of Churches. With representatives of 10 national church bodies, I worked on policies and produced briefs, letters, reports, educational material, and with lawyers worked on court actions and international complaints. In 1993, I launched and coordinated for 5 years a Summer Course on Refugee Issues at York University aimed at a full range of practitioners.

Between 2002-2007 I published two books - 2 editions of one of them.

"The Global Refugee Regime: Charity, Management and Human Rights"
Second Edition, Trafford, 2008, available from Trafford or Amazon.com.
