in 2008, but remain interested in
refugee law, human rights law and a
number of issues which I

From
1983 to mid 2001, I was the national
Coordinator of the Inter-Church
Committee for Refugees, linked to the
Canadian Council of Churches. With
representatives of 10 national church
bodies, I worked on policies and
produced briefs, letters, reports,
educational material, and with lawyers
worked on court actions and
international complaints. In 1993, I
launched and coordinated for 5 years a
Summer Course on Refugee Issues at
York University aimed at a full range
of practitioners.
Between
2002-2007 I published two books - 2
editions of one of them.

Over the years 1971 -

teaching Chemistry, then as Director of
